Day 11

Friday January 26th

Bon Swa!

Today is our last full day on Ile a Vache. We are filled with mixed emotions. We had a relatively chill day. In the morning we helped Patrick load the buckets with spigots on them on to his boat. He didn’t have room on his boat for us and the buckets so he brought them to the mainland where he would distribute them to those in need.

We spent most of the day relaxing on the beach and taking in all of Haiti’s beauty before we leave tomorrow.

Tomorrow we will catch a boat at 0800 over to the mainland and begin our near five hour drive back to Port au Prince. We will spend the night at Lance’s house. Hopefully we will have time to stop at a market with a lot of different artwork.
