Day 8

Tuesday January 23rd

Bon Swa!

Today was another productive day. We had breakfast and left Vacation Village at 1000 and took a boat over to Madame Bernard. The plan for today was to put all of the desks together for the high school.

The chairs and desks were part of Jen's project. She was responsible for securing the near 100 desks and chairs and coordinating their arrival to Mass Maritime. One of the most challenging pieces of this project was palletizing the desks and chairs. We ended up having to take them apart to maximize our space. This was quite the task.

Since we had taken them apart, we spent the entire day reassembling them in Madame Bernard. We made it back to Vacation Village around 1630. We went to Ellie’s place, swam a little bit and even got some wifi connection!

Tomorrow we will work on my project which will entail assembling 250 five gallon bucket water taps so that people will have a more accessible water storage. We will give these to those on the island with the greatest need.
