Let's talk about the evolution of this project from last year to this year. Last year the team was living on the island for 30 days. During those 30 days we obtained information to add to the pre-existing Emergency Management Assessment of the island. We were able to travel to areas on the island where previous groups had not been to before: mainly to the eastern part of the island. In doing this, we were able to map additional schools, wells, pumps, paths, etc. We were also able to get more information for this infrastructure as well as getting additional information on items already in the Assessment. We added more CAD drawings to the Assessment as well as up-to-date water samples from various wells and pumps. This year's team will be on the island for roughly 10 days. This year the ship from MMA will be involved; this will be a first for the Haiti Project. The T.S. Kennedy will be anchoring off Ile-A-Vache for a few hours to offload supplies for organizations such as Soul of Haiti and EDEM. The students have been coordinating between the organizations to plan for a successful offload when the ship arrives. We are going to continue creating CAD drawings as well as mapping any new buildings, wells, etc. on the island that we encounter.
