Kevin Dougherty

Hello everyone, my name is Kevin Dougherty from Marshfield, Massachusetts and I am a graduate of Marshfield High School. Currently, I am a junior studying Emergency Management and as you may already know, actively involved with the Haiti Project. The project is an incredible opportunity, allowing myself along with eight other cadets to assist a community in need. As an Emergency Management major, I was only focused on the public safety aspect of it. Once I learned about this internship, I began to focus on the possibility of pursuing a career in relief efforts around the world. This internship will provide hands on experience in the field and will give me a better understanding of the major as a whole, while also providing insight into international relief operations. Currently, I am involved with the logistical aspects of three separate projects, which include the transportation of well-digging equipment, storage containers, and tools to support one of our contacts, Father John. I am looking forward to traveling to Ile A Vache and will keep you updated as the project progresses.
